Molmanagement Artist Advise #3

Okay so I’m back with part 3 of my artist advise installment. Please keep in mind that this is strictly my opinion from my own experiences so don’t get all butt-hurt, i’m not speaking to you directly softy. Anyways, I really want to stress the “Yes Man” factor. We all know what that is, a group of folks or friends in your circle who are either to scared or to nice to tell you have much you SUCK. Now I believe everyone should always believe in what they do and no on can tell them shit right? WRONG, sometimes it’s a good thing to tell your folks if it ain’t happening for them, that’s real friendship. Keep an entourage of real cats around you, even if you are on top. If what someone is doing isn’t good, it’s our duty as friends to tell them, I mean if your boy is robbing banks, you tell him that isn’t a good idea right? Same with music, I only mention this because I have the pleasure to be surrounded by so many talented friends whom I want to see succeed so we make sure to support and keep it 100 with each other. As I clean my closet with fake friends and foes I urge you as artists to keep good energy around you and real folks in your circle. With that I am clear.

Molmanagement Artist Advice #2

Ok Artists rappers gangsters strippers, here is the next piece of advise from a burnt out manager.  Your Name, Please, I repeat please pick a suiting strong name for yourself that makes sense..Murder, Animal, Criminal, Glocc, great names but when I hear them I think just that about you.  One good rule of thumb in choosing a good name is asking yourself , “Will this name make sense when I am 45?” I doubt Killer will cut it, but hey, that might be who you are.  The name to me says a lot about the artist and gives me a preconceived window into their music and character.  Also think when fans search your name will they find it say in a google search easy?  Killer comes up with everything but the artist I am looking for.  Well that concludes my advise segment #2.  I will be back to bother you with pointless jargon again.  Thanks, Molman

Molmanagement Artist advice #1

Well folks, my good brother & partner Omni is giving me a once in awhile rant on his site for me to just talk a little crap and give some advise to you artist(s) who may or may not have a manager.  Well first off before you say who the heck is this guy to give any advise, I want to throw my credentials out there now that I have sold 16 records and did about 2 shows worldwide.  Okay maybe a few thousand records and a few world tours.   Anyways okay, here is my first tip out of a series I will be giving you, okay, ready..BE FUCKING GOOD. Stop making garbage because you have a Pro Tools set up or  Reason.  What happened to artists? anyone is an artist now which by the way is fucking up promoters investing into unknown talent now.  The first step when you look in the mirror and say hey i’m an artist is to get some real opinions on if you really are.   I will be hitting you off on the regular with more advise , tips and notes.

Diary Entry #1

So folks as I wrap up the last few tracks on my album I am really proud of my work.   It’s been nearly 2 and a half years since my last official release and I can say that I feel proud like a fathers whos baby is about to be born.  I put out quite a few records over the years (mainly with a hip hop vibe to them) This album is more of a live feel/programmed with influences from all over the world.  I am on a positive path with this record and definitely have found my voice and direction, thank goodness it didn’t take a lifetime. I just wanted to write my thoughts as I wrap up this record.  Hopefully I can leak a track or 2 by  or near my Bday.  Anyways thanks to all who is reading this and who always supported me over the years.  Oh one last thing, I am venturing into the live show direction, shout out to Bizzy (my official drummer) Quickiemart (my Dj) & hopefully Ms, Tiki from the band Piel who I am hoping will accept my offer as my back-up vocals (voice from heaven folks).  I finally feel at home with my music, many suprises and hopefully back on the road again.   Omni
